Thanks to all I met at Midweek, NH

It was an exciting week at Antiques Week New Hampshire. It was a pleasure meeting so many new collectors, dealers, curators, and media.

Next two shows, Okemo, VT, and ADA/Historic Deerfield

My last two shows of the year are at the Okemo (Vermont) Mountain Resort, the first weekend of October, and the ADA/Historic Deerfield Show, on Columbus Day weekend.

Update on Meghan

Many in the antiques business have inquired about my daughter Meghan, who has helped my at many shows in the past. Meghan is graduating this year from High School where she had an awesome year. AP Scholar and President of the National Honor Society were just two of her many distinctions academically, and also was co-captain of the tennis team. Meghan will be attending Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute this fall, where she will be pursuing a duo major in Mechanical Engineering and in Design, in a program called Design and Innovation. We are very proud of Meghan! Undoubtedly you will see my middle child, Mandy, at shows with me this summer and fall.

Check out my very early tavern table with original paint history!

When was the last time that you saw an early American tavern table in its original paint history? Check out the outstanding example I just posted. It is a rare gem!

Noteworthy sale

I sold this week to a fine collector the very cool and very special root carving posted on my site. It is a remarkable survival, with carvings foreshadowing Dr. Seuss characters.
