Probably New England, ca. 1820-1840. Tinned sheet iron. Four arched arms supporting candle-cups with drip pans, with four more uniquely crimped-arms holding reflectors (to bounce light outward). The lower rim also is fitted with leaf-shaped reflectors. The “composition” is unusual and whimsically American. Likely designed to illuminate a small table, with dimensions of about 15 inches wide x 9 inches tall. Retains originally hanging ring at the top, and a collection label.
