England, ca. 1770-1780, probably Staffordshire.
Well known and used in early America as shards of this form have been found in American archeological sites.

Large and deep, about 14 ½ inches diameter x 3 ¼ deep. Bold “grid” pattern. Superb condition with a couple of inconsequential hairlines; rich color underneath. Stunning presence.  Robust and heavy in hand.
